Edublogs vs. Blogger.

Two very well put together blogging networks, or whatever you want to call them.. yet one must come out on top. The only question is, which will it be? 


If you have ever used either of these programs then you may know that they are both used for blogging. Edublogs on one hand is used more for educational purposes. Teachers (normally of Info Tech classes) can created on blog, for themselves. Where they would post the classes assignments and what not, they can then link all of the students blogs to that blog. It's really quite handy, this is most likely the main reason it was created. Hence, the name, Edu (Educational) Blogs... if you didn't notice that already. 


Blogger on the other hand, can be used for ANYTHING. It may not be able to cleverly link over 20 other blogs to one main blog, but it launch businesses, hold rants, hold secrets you'd only find in a diary, or just be a plain old everyday blog. You can follow your friends, or any blog that you happen to stumble upon and enjoy.. following allows you to receive this blogs updates in your dashboard. This is a handy little tool, because then you always are in the know when there is a new post to be read, or a blog layout change.


Now, obviously you can tell by now that I'm siding with Blogger.. this is because, though I have a blog on each of these sites, I think that Blogger comes out on top for recreational blogging, which is what I like to do most. This is just my opinion... if you were a teacher, looking for a program to use in your information technology class, then most likely you would be siding against me, on the Edublogs side. 


It's not really fair to say that anyone of these two is the all-time best because they were both mainly created for two completely different purposes.. educational, and recreational. So, this is where I'm at a stand-still. In the end, neither of these two blog websites is the best.. they're both the best at what they do best. I hope you can understand that. And, I hope that if you don't already have a blog of your own that you make one. Join in the fun! =)
